Our 3D Printing Technologies
FDM/FFF
Fused Deposition Modeling/Fused Filament Fabrication is used to 3D print PLA, PETG and ABS plastic materials.
-
FDM/FFF Fused Filament Fabrication or FDM Fused Deposition Modeling is the most common type of material extrusion technology. A corn-based filament feeds through an extruder where a heated nozzle extrudes the material. FFF/FDM is well-suited for early prototypes, communication models, and form studies.
Materials available: PLA, PETG, ABS.
SLA/DLS/DLP
Stereolithography, Digital Light Synthesis & Digital Light Processing are used to 3D print a variety of standard and industrial resins.
-
SLA Stereolithography uses a laser to cure specified areas of the print, which solidifies to form a hardened resin part. SLA delivers high-resolution parts with a smooth surface finish perfect for high-fidelity presentation models, precision parts, and mold-making.
Materials available: Standard resin, durable resin, elastic resin, high temp resin, flexible resin, tough resin, castable wax resin.
HP MJF
Multi-Jet Fusion is used to 3D print nylon PA11, PA12, TPU, and glass-filled varieties of each.
-
Hewlett Packard’s MJF Multi-Jet Fusion delivers industrial grade Nylon parts with full-color capabilities. MJF applies a fusing agent to specific print areas while applying a detailing agent to give crisp edges to parts. Nylon is known for its durability and high impact resistance.
Materials available: Nylon PA11, Nylon PA12, Glass-filled nylon, TPU.
SLS
Selective Laser Sintering is used to 3D print nylon PA11, PA12, Polypropylene (PP), and TPU.
-
SLS Selective Laser Sintering uses a laser to sinter small particles of polymer powder into a solid part. SLS is known for its low-cost, high-productivity manufacturing capabilities for small-batch manufacturing.
Materials available: Nylon PA11, Nylon PA12, TPU, EPU.
DLMS/SLM
Direct Laser Metal Sintering and Selective Laser Melting are used to 3D print a variety metals, such as steel, aluminum, and brass.
-
Metal 3D printing offers a range of production methods, such as, DMLS Direct Metal Laser Sintering, SLM Selective Laser Melting, and Binder Jetting that deliver strength and durability.
Materials available: Steel, Stainless Steel 316L, Stainless Steel 17-4PH, Bronze, Aluminum, and Titanium.
Full Color 3D Printing
Multi or full color 3D printing can be achieved through a variety of process such as MJF, dyeing, sandstone, and FDM.
-
Full color 3D printing delivers hyper-realistic, full CMYK color capabilities for Nylon parts. The vivid coloring is applied during the printing process which eliminates the need for painting.
Materials available: Polyjet, resin, PA12, PA11, Sandstone.
